Kenmare

Discover the Ring of Kerry and Beara

DSC_0164 copyThe Town and Surrounding Area

Situated in the south-west corner of Ireland, Kenmare nestles between the Iveragh and Beara Peninsulas. The town is a charming mix of brightly painted shops, award-winning restaurants, fine hotels and pubs; and in addition to spectacular scenery, it has much to offer visitors.

Kenmare is just south of Killarney, on the Ring of Kerry, so for anyone interested in ancient archeological sites there is a mass of places to explore. Closer to home there is a fine circle of standing stones in the town itself.

For walkers, there is the Kerry Way and the Beara Way to tackle.

If golf is your sport, Kenmare boasts two excellent 18-hole courses. Additional courses in Killarney and Glengarriff mean you will never be short of a game.
